The SafeSpace Discord houses some incredibly skilled players, and is a great place to find skilled gameplay, discussions about balance and other game aspects, and is a great place to occasionally ask a question about why the bloats like to explode into goo. Playing with skilled players and/or friends can help accelerate the learning process, especially since bad/toxic players can make the Medic experience harder and more tedious. When they're enraged, though, sometimes it's okay to get hit, as doing so will also calm the Fleshpound. For Fleshpounds, you can only induce a stumble when the FP is calm. It's kinda stupid to say that, but if you're being chased by an enraged Scrake, bashing him will stumble him back, giving you valuable room to run away and/or heal your team. And when you heal off some health, you get the buffs too! That's right, with enough skill and health being healed off you can get all of the aforementioned buffs applied to you. This includes extra movement speed, more damage, and some extra damage resistance. These are heal-oriented skills that buff your teammates when darts/Medic gases hit them. As soon as you can, save up for the HMTech-401 Medic Assault Rifle. Your team will thank you for your healing darts, especially on higher difficulties. This is pretty obvious, but so many medics forget to heal, instead opting for the shoot-gun-and-get-kills route.
